1. Sales & Ordering:

It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that the Goods are suitable for their intended purpose.  The pre-owned Goods are used and in good working order ~ all major functions have been checked.

Used Goods show signs of 'wear and tear' and the price charged reflects the condition.

Distance Selling: In consumer transactions conducted at distance e.g. by telephone, the distance selling regulations will apply. In summary:

You have the right to change your mind within seven working days of delivery, notifying Refurbiz in writing or by e-mail to admin@refurbiz.org.

Please note: we are not able to provide the original maker's guides or manuals with the Goods, but please ask for one of our general guidelines leaflets.

2. Acceptance:

Goods shall be accepted by a responsible person and any faults or problems with the condition, delivery or installation shall be brought to the manager or delivery driver's attention at that time.

Goods not accepted as being in good condition and complete will not be delivered.

3. Delivery:

All delivery times quoted are estimates.  We cannot guarantee that delivery is made at a precise time or within a limited period.

If no responsible person is available on the agreed date and time  to accept delivery, Refurbiz may charge for redelivery.

Due to the nature of the goods, appropriate transportation is necessary. Therfore, if you transport the goods, in your own transport and damage arises, Refurbiz will not accept liability for that damage.

4. Installation:

In certain circumstances Refurbiz may agree to install your appliance (except cookers). Installation will only be attempted if suitable electrical and plumbing connections are available and there is a practical location for the Goods.  Please note:

5. Warranty:

The Client shall maintain the Goods in accordance with any supplied Refurbiz guides and good practice.  A three month warranty is provided from the date of delivery.

Please note:  no warranty is given on Goods collected or transported by the Client or a third party.

For a warranty claim to be accepted the Goods must be faulty, not misused or damaged and no repair or modification should have been attempted.  Refurbiz must be notified of any warranty claim in writing within the warranty period.

The warranty covers the main functions of the Goods.  Minor functions that are not essential for the general use of the Goods are not warranted.

The Client shall take all reasonable steps to confirm that the Goods are faulty before making a claim.

If a claim is made when the problem was caused by:

then Refurbiz will make a charge for a service visit or for collection, re-testing and re-delivery.

Goods found to be faulty and covered by the warranty will be repaired or replaced at no cost or credited at our discretion.

Repaired or replacement Goods will be supplied normally within 5 working days.

6. Claims for losses:

The goods will be delivered to you in a working condition. Should damage to delivered goods arise as a result of using the equipment, Refurbiz must be notified in writing and each case will be considered on it’s merits. The defrosting and consequent  loss of frozen food stored in a freezer is assumed to be covered by your house contents insurance policy. The warranty is limited to the Goods supplied.  Claims for any losses that result from a failure to deliver or a fault with the Goods cannot be accepted in any circumstances.  The client must take all reasonable precautions to ensure that appliances are operated correctly in a safe manner and not left unattended for long periods.

7. Payment:

Goods shall be paid for by cash in advance or on delivery.

Our standard, already discounted prices are offered to Clients on support, credits or benefits at our discretion ~ proof of eligibility for a discount is required.

9. Appliance Electrical Safety:

The Goods supplied have been tested in accordance with the legislative requirements that applied at the time of sale.  It is highly recommended that you do not operate your machine whilst not at home.

8. Statutory Rights:

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
